The comb motif has long appeared in Anatolian weaving traditions as a symbol associated with new households, carrying wishes for fertility, union, order and protection from misfortune.
Beginnings draws from this tradition of marking the start of something new — a home, a family, a life together. The familiar form is reinterpreted through a contemporary design, bringing an old visual language into the spaces we live in.

Designed in Estonia and hand-knotted from 100% sheep's wool yarns by female artisans across Denizli and Afyon, Turkey, featuring a plush high-pile finish.

Crafted from 100% sheep wool, these pieces possess inherent durability and dirt resistance. Light shedding is completely normal during the first few months and will gradually diminish with regular care. For daily upkeep, vacuum gently without a brush.
Spot-clean stains immediately wiping gently using lukewarm water and a neutral soap. After cleaning, absorb excess moisture with a clean, dry microfiber cloth. Professional rug cleaning is recommended for deep maintenance.

To avoid overproduction and maintain a sustainable footprint, we do not hold stock. Every piece is woven made-to-order specifically for your space. Hand-crafted textiles require dedicated time, skill, and patience—from preparing natural fibers to intricate weaving on the loom.
Production Lead Times
Production begins immediately upon order placement. Please allow a lead time of 5 to 15 weeks for your rug to be completed. This timeline reflects traditional human craftsmanship and variable loom schedules, ensuring every piece meets our exacting artistic standards.
Please note: Custom dimensions or large-scale bespoke pieces may require extended production lead times, which will be confirmed prior to beginning your order.
Shipping
We offer free shipping on all orders over €300. Once your rug passes final quality assurance, it will be securely packaged and dispatched via tracked express courier, with delivery updates provided upon shipment.

Selected designs from our collection can be crafted in custom dimensions. In addition, we offer fully bespoke solutions tailored specifically to your space and projects—including custom colors and unique designs. Handwoven flatweave rugs can be customized up to 500 cm in width, while hand-knotted high-pile rugs can be crafted up to 600 cm in width, both with limitless length.
