There are three ways to collaborate with us: rug commissions, textile commissions and rugs from the collection. Each has its own process.

How We Work

Rug Commissions

1. Share your project

Tell us about the project: the type of space, how it will be used, and the dimensions. Approximate measurements are fine while the plan is still developing. It also helps to see the furniture and objects planned around the rug, and the colours and materials of the interior.

Most of all, tell us about the space and the feeling it should create. This is where the design begins.

2. Design and proposal

Based on what you share, we recommend the proportions, the technique (flatwoven kilim, high-pile hand-knotted tulu, or a mix of both) and the design. You receive a visual mockup of the rug and a formal quotation. We refine the design together before anything is woven.

3. Woven by hand

Your rug is made from 100% hand-dyed sheep's wool and woven entirely by hand by women weavers in Turkey. We confirm the timeline with you before weaving begins.

4. Delivery

The finished rug is carefully packed and delivered to you, together with clear care instructions.

Textile Art Commissions

1. Share your project

Tell us about the space: the room where the piece will hang, the approximate wall dimensions, and whether it is for a home or a commercial interior. A photograph of the wall and the room helps us see it as you do.

Tell us also what the space should feel like, and the story behind the project.

2. Design and proposal

We recommend the proportions, format, materials and composition. You receive a visual mockup showing the piece in your space, and a formal quotation. We refine the design together before weaving begins.

3. Woven by hand

Most pieces are woven by hand by Dila on her loom, Mathilda, in the Tallinn studio. Depending on the size and technique, some are woven by hand in Turkey. Every piece is one of a kind and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

4. Delivery and installation

The finished piece is carefully packed and delivered with clear installation and care instructions. Should anything come up during installation, we're here to help.

Rugs from the Collection

1. Choose your pieces

Choose one or more designs from the collection and tell us about the project: where the rugs will be used and the sizes you need. Let us know as well whether you'd like a different colour palette.

2. Size and colour review

For a custom size, we review whether the design works in those proportions. Some designs are made for certain proportions, and when a design doesn't suit the size, we suggest other pieces from the collection that do.

For a custom colour palette, we prepare a visual mockup so you can see the rug in its new colours before weaving.

3. Woven by hand

Commissions

Every commission is quoted individually. The price reflects the size, technique and materials, the number of pieces, the design work involved and, for textile art, the installation requirements.
